Summer is here!  It is time to enjoy some live music out in the sunshine.  It seems every year there are more and more summer music festivals popping up with band lineups that I would love to see.  Unfortunately most of them have big ticket prices that make it hard for the everyday music lover to attend them all.  This is where tomorrow’s 4Knots Music Festival really stands out.  It is absolutely free!

4Knots music Festival

The Village Voice puts together the annual 4Knots Music festival on the South Street Seaport in downtown Manhattan, NYC.  This makes the day even better that it is an all ages event that has no admission charge.  Yes this does mean that it may get a little crowded but there is VIP access aboard the Peking Ship docked at the seaport for a fee if you feel cramped.  The lineup calls for a full day of excitement too.  The music starts at 1pm rain or shine.

This year will feature two stages, with performances by:
Kurt Vile and the Violators
The Men
Parquet Courts

White Lung
Marnie Stern
Hunters
Reigning Sound
The Babies
Fat Tony
Heliotropes
Steve Gunn

Indie Band Guru will be there and we strongly suggest you do the same.  And share your pictures and stories with us. Get ready to rock!
