Another one of our featured artist is still moving ahead with a purpose. Hopefully Indie Band Guru can help be part of the fabric that helps these talented musicians gain the fame that they deserve. Back in March we got to hear the single ‘Don’t Touch’ by Brooklyn rapper Genesis Be. Now she is back with more music and a video for us.
The Mississippi raised hip hop performer has her hands in all aspects of the music business. Genesis Be lists her vocations as NYU College Radio DJ, Political Science major, founder of an entertainment company, recording artist, and social activist. There is no doubt she is one of the hardest working women in the underground music scene right now. Now Genesis Be, has released her 2nd single from her upcoming 5th studio album GENESEQUA. The bass heavy southern bounce track “Tampons & Tylenol” was produced by fellow Clive Davis (NYU) alum, Dj Goodgoose. It is a trunk rattling declaration of women’s power be it via sex, ambition or intelligence. Take a look and listen to it below:
