One of the best things about the advancement of music in the last decade or so is the breakdown of genre walls. No longer does an artist have to stay in one lane and abide by the rules of one musical style at a time. One artist that truly chooses to blend in whatever he sees fit is our recent discovery 3Mind Blight.
Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma the innovative music project is creating something fresh using the pieces of things from the past. The first array into creating music was spawned from the late 90’s Grunge Rock scene meshed with Boom Bap Rap. Bands came and went and skills in production and artistry grew. What was a hobby turned into a full-time music career for 3Mind Blight.
The goal is always to create music with feeling. It doesn’t matter what the genre is. As 3Mind Blight says “Music is music no matter how you wanna use it and as long as you make it somebody out there is gonna chose it to make them feel okay throughout the day so they don’t lose it.”
Get Pumped to Break It Down With 3Mind Blight
It has been almost a year but 3Mind Blight is back with the single release “Breaking Down”. The hard rock attack comes at you from the first strums of the distorted guitar. The vocals build into an all out assault belnding between Rapcore and Metal genres. There is an energy that just grabs you.
Then to switch it up on us all, at the 1:25 mark there is a mellow breakdown that gives us a chance to catch our breath. The power comes right back afterwards though to get our blood pumping right until the end. So much range and emotion in one tight little package.
