Abandoned Space Man Takes Us To The Stars On ‘Spacewalk 2026’

Spread the knowledge

Buckle up and prepare to drift through the cosmos with Spacewalk 2026, the latest offering from Abandoned Space Man. The album is a mesmerizing blend of lo-fi electronica, ambient textures, and spacey vibes that feels like a transmission from a lonely astronaut floating through the void. With its hypnotic beats and otherworldly soundscapes, the album is a bold statement from an artist unafraid to explore the outer reaches of sonic experimentation. Producer Cliff Paris tells us he was inspired by the concept of an abandoned spaceman encountering alien life and the power of thought.

From the opening title track “Space Walk 2026”, the album establishes its interstellar credentials. A pulsing synth line, layered with glitchy, lo-fi beats, sets the stage for a journey that feels both futuristic and nostalgic. The sultry delivered vocals add to the laid back lo-fi feel.. Abandoned Space Man’s production is raw yet deliberate, with each song building its own little universe of warped melodies and atmospheric hums.

Standout moments come early and often. We get a rock feel on “Report” with a chugging beat driving the song forward. The vocals are delivered with a somewhat aggressive style adding to the energy. Abandoned Space Man shows some real range here. While on “Planet” we get a sweetly sung ballad over an assortment of warm sounds. A relaxing track to let the listener think.

Beware the “Rattelsnakes In Space” by Abandoned Space Man

“Rattlesnakes In Space” weaves a tapestry of shimmering synths and a driving drumbeat that feels like cruising past a nebula. The lo-fi aesthetic—crisp yet slightly distorted—gives it a comforting feel, like listening to a cassette tape left behind on a derelict spaceship. The lyrics help paint the picture with a passionate delivery.

The closer “Energy Garden” is a complex outro at over 7 minutes long. A faster drumbeat is punctuated with a wide assortment of sounds meshed into the production. Vocals rise and fall keeping the momentum going while the backdrop wall of sound has its own way with your mind.

The album’s strength lies in its ability to sustain a cohesive vibe across its sprawling 73-minute runtime. Each of the 17 tracks feels like a chapter in a sci-fi epic, with subtle shifts in tone and texture keeping things fresh. Abandoned Space Man never strays too far from its lo-fi roots, grounding even its most upbeat moments in a hazy, analog warmth.

Spacewalk 2026 is a testament to Abandoned Space Man’s ability to craft a sonic universe that’s both intimate and expansive. For indie electronica fans looking for something to get lost in, this is your ticket to the stars.
