Audiobender Returns And Brings Back The Best Of Rock

When a group is out there working hard people will notice.  When they are out there making energetic music with raw emotion, fans will flock to them.  When Indie Band Guru comes across a happening like this we like to keep an eye and ear on them to see where they go next.  One that has stood out over the last couple years is our friends Audiobender.

The band from San Jose, California was formed back in 2012.  The trio of singer/guitarist Jared Richard, Paul Cingolani on bass, and Jeff Lemas on drums has created a power rock sound infused with hard rock, blues and the rawness of garage rock.

Audiobender has been putting in the work to build that brand too.  The band has been playing  as many shows as possible at some of the most prestigious venues in the country.  They have shared stages with legendary national acts, and have built a fiercely devoted fanbase that lives within the party the band has created.

From Audiobender’s first album Reverb (which we covered HERE) to a live record at the famous Whiskey A Go Go (read HERE) we have been big supporters of the band and their raw rock attitude.  Now the group is back with a new record that is ready to take Audiobender to the next level.

The new album titled Pour Me An Encore is due out on Friday, October 14th on ITunes and all major online outlets.  Straight from the opener “Venus” and its false start, Audiobender is ready to wake up the listener with a bang.  The garage rock energy blasts through the speakers.  The grooving grind of “Easy” has that slow paced sludge feel that hits you right in the gut.  This paired with the vocal style and guitars brings back memories of the early music of Guns N’ Roses.

Audiobender lets the listener live the rock star life with “Stuck On The Floor Of A Hotel Bathroom”.  Some hair metal creeps into this one at times too along with the lo down punk vibe.  The energy turns up again on “Die Another Day”.  The screaming chorus will have you yelling along and pumping your fist in the air.  As a change up, Audiobender dives into a classic rock jam showing the talent that each member has on their instrument.  This is what rock is meant to be.

The band shows off a softer side with “This Is The End”.  The vocals are sweet as the song builds up to an all-out anthem.  As the title says, this must be the end of the record….but wait there is more.  In classic rock fashion, there is a hidden track.  Keep on listening for a fun and poppy number that will leave you with a smile on your face as your head bops along.

This is what is missing in the current state of pop-rock music.  I implore you to dive in and bring back what music is meant to be.

If you are on the West Coast, I am sure a good time will be had at the album launch party on Saturday 10/15 at The Ritz in downtown San Jose.  Find out more on their WEBSITE.
