‘Get Up And Go’ Listen to the New EP from The Delta Troubadours

DELTA TROUBADOURS

The Delta Troubadours announced the release of their newest EP, Get Up And Go, set to release December 8. Until then, they’ve granted their listeners with not only a heavy rock n’ roll single, but a lyric music video to accompany. “Stone Thrasher” is composed of relatable lyrics and guitar rhythms meant to inspire players to pick up their instrument, vibe to the music, and create more rock of their own.

“Stone Thrasher” is the lead single from Get Up And Go

Stone Thrasher” isn’t the Delta Troubadours’ first rock track, though. ’70s rock has been the groups inspiration from the very beginning. They released their first EP about a year after forming the band. Gritt was released in January 2016 and was recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. The EP gained such popularity that it was featured in the Tampa Bay Times’ 2016 mid-year list of notable releases form the Tampa Bay area.

Alternatively, the Delta Troubadours aren’t just your average rock band. The group has taken a unique spin on the genre, combining it with blues and soul feels from their home down south. Gytis Garsys, Ian Heausler, and Jon Franklin are originally from Gainseville, FL, but have moved to Nashville to continue pursuing their music career. Their goal is to bring back the good ol’ rock n’ roll that inspired people to play music, just as the Delta Troubadours are inspired by the revolutionary guitarists remembered from decades ago.

You can take the Delta Troubadours out of the south, but you can’t take the south out of them

The Delta Troubadours have been making their rounds down south, performing at many music festivals and alongside other musicians. They’ve performed at festivals such as the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (2017), Florida Music Festival (2017), and Gasparilla Music Festival (2016). Similarly, the Delta Troubadours performed as support for Heartless Bastards, Susto, The London Souls, and Roadkill Ghost Choir.

But, they’re not stopping there. The Delta Troubadours will go on tour this month. They’ll travel through their old stomping grounds and more. From Florida, to Louisiana, to Tennessee and more, the men don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. In the future, they plan to expand their tours to more of the East Coast, but they’ll never forget where they came from.

The Delta Troubadours have been inspired by music, and they hope to inspire others with their own.
