IBG and Geo Moon – ‘We Vibe’

Artists need to keep new content coming out consistently in this ‘short attention span’ society that we live in today. This takes focus and dedication. Neither of those traits is lacking in our friend Geo Moon.

We had caught up with the talented electro-rocker last month for an INTERVIEW. Now Geo Moon is back with a brand new track ‘We Vibe’ set for release on August 7th. Get a chance to hear it first HERE.

The song pushes forward with a steady beat and grinding guitars. The head bopping vocal delivery draws attention to a story many of us can relate to. it takes twists and turns leading to a full experience. The beat will stick deep in your head long after the song is over.

Geo Moon was kind enough to give us some more insight into his career and “We Vibe”. Check out the interview here:

Tell us about the song? And what’s the story behind it?

‘’We Vibe’’ is an autobiographical song which touches the topic of unfulfilled love among a man and a woman. In our story, the man recognizes that there is a great vibe among them (thus the title) however the woman does not. He tries to approach her in any possible way however she is unable to see what these two people can be because she is confused and trapped in her need for luxury. Consequently, this need drives her to be in a relationship with a rich and married guy making her the third person in that relationship. It’s unfortunate that she doesn’t even love him and even worst she is unable to recognize it as her need for luxuries (which the man provides) is really strong. In the end she ended up hurt and bursting in substances to forget while our main character found his way and pure love away from this woman.

The lyrical content is structured on three levels :
Verses are the thoughts of the man (level 1) which lead to inner dialogue with his spirit guide (level 2) and the choruses display an imaginary monologue from the man to the woman. All the things he wanted to say but he didn’t.

What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?

The main factor that makes my music unique is the process I follow.

I love to create hybrid productions by incorporating Rocky Guitar Riffs, Hip Hop Verses with strong and melodic Choruses mixed with Electronic synthesizers.

If you would like me to use labels, I would say that the type of music I make can fit into a few subgenres of the Rock family. Some of them including: Rap Metal, Rap-Rock, Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock, Electronic Metal, Electronic Rock, Industrial and Nu Metal.

Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

I’m most proud of myself for the present moment. I’m awake and more focused than ever. My last single ‘’Bring it On’’ has got almost 40k on Spotify and this is a reflection of my work. Looking back to the past, I’m really proud for moving to London. I was scared to death to leave my comfort zone however I did it. You see, Greece countryside where I grew up does not support the kind of music I make, so I had no other choice but to move where my fans are. I see myself moving to Los Angeles in a couple of years as well. All the American bands have been my main influences and my music resonates in the American culture more than the British one. At least this is what I think so. We’ll find out soon.

How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?

At the minute I have no family obligations and I intend to keep it that way. Kids and wife require attention you see. I’m more driven than ever and focused with body, mind and spirit on my musical works. Since I wake up till I go to bed, I only do activities that are steps towards my end goal. It doesn’t look very balanced, does it? haahhahah

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

It sounds cliché but: PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE. Either it is guitar, Piano, vocals, songwriting, or Production. My advice would be: ‘Attack’ that thing that you love and be prepared for a lot of crap music during your first steps, which is something normal and fine. It takes away the pressure for perfection which most of us creatives have. You start small and you build on it. You start bad and you become good along the way. It is simple as that. If one acknowledges that it is fine not to be good (in the beginning of their journey) it prevents a lot disappointment as well.

And in the end,  who am I to argue when you have AC/DC explaining it perfectly in one sentence?
‘’It’s a long way to the top, If you want Rock and Roll’’

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

I wish love and abundance to you all and thank you from the depths of my heart for supporting my work. Without you I would not be where I am today. When my musical works and lyrical content resonates with you, you make my soul glow. I promise you that You’ll continue having 150 % effort from me when it comes to new releases.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

There is an animation video being created for “ We Vibe’’ as we speak and more releases to follow. I tend to release a song every 5-6 weeks so as to continually provide fresh content. So, expect another new song from me around 7th of September. It’s going to be a Rap-Rock mix (a bit different than ‘’We Vibe”) with a great rapper featuring. I have the production ready from now however, more info will be given when the time comes.

Sounds great. We will absolutely be looking forward to that.
