IZ. M.B Takes Us To ‘Nowhere Town

As an up and coming artist one of the best things you can do to increase your talent is to experiment. Try different genres. Collaborate with different people. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Our recent discovery IZ. M.B has experimented and discovered that she excels at many talents.

The singer and songwriter has demonstrated that she can provide her outstanding vocals and songwriting ability through a variety of different genres. Whether performing alternative rock, pop rock, urban, or Latin music, IZ. M.B delivers every lyric with the perfect combination of emotion, sincerity, and professionalism.

Her career started early when she released her first album Blue Collar Romeo at only 16 years old. Her experience has led her to become part of the urban pop band Gorilla Apocalypse who we have also featured on Indie Band Guru.

Now IZ.M.B is releasing her next album Nowhere Town to keep the flow rolling on her own career. The 12 track record was recorded at AGL Studios in Cherry Hill, NJ with Ryan Hillsinger producing. She welcomed back the band from her debut, guitarist Doug Gallo, bassist Arnez Hayes, and drummer/producer Ryan Hillsinger filling out the sound.

We get a beautiful start with “Six Feet Away” as the IZ. M.B vocal style is on full display. She starts off softly easing the listener in as the song builds to a true rocker, while still remaining sweet. The rock turns up even harder on “Breakout” with some top notch guitar leading the way. Some layers of keyboard are added to add some spacy sound to the track as the singer pours out emotion.

‘Stigmata’ from IZ.M.B

On “Stigmata” multiple genres are experimented with as interesting noises seem to come from all angles. The vocals of IZ. M.B go in a different direction here with a punchy style that demands attention as she slithers around the track.

We get the needed rest on “Say” with a laid back vibe. Vocals are front and center. Emotion can be felt right through the speakers as her elegant voice touches deep within our soul. “Sadly Beautiful” is another song that stays in this tone.

For the closer “OCD” a pretty piano starts us off. A slow and steady beat pushes us forward as IZ. M.B turns up her feelings. The way she sings is tremendously engaging. Every lyric has a meaning that we are meant to be touched by. In a changeup around the 2:50 mark, the energy suddenly turns up. More and more sounds fill in the backdrop as we reach the climax.

Keep up with IZ. M.B and more from Blue Collar Records HERE.
