Les Fradkin Shows Off With ’12 Strings of Joy’

It has been a minute since our friend Les Fradkin sent some music our way. But we knew it wouldn’t be too much longer for the prolific songwriter. A new double single just landed on our desk and we get to dive in.

For those unaware of Les Fradkin, he is a Producer, Composer, Multi Instrumentalist, and vocalist who has been making music for more years than many of us have been alive. He was a pioneer in the use of MIDI guitar which opened up the ability to create tones and loops that were unheard of at the time. Les has since mastered a style that has set him apart from the norm.

Les Fradkin Shows Pure Joy With His Guitar

For his latest release Les Fradkin offers up a set of 2 songs that have some different vibes. On “12 Strings Of Joy” we get to hear his prowess on his brand new Hallmark 12-string guitar (with a video showing his true joy of playing it.) There is a touch of holiday sound in the melodies with glimpses of Trans-Siberian Orchestra coming to mind. A changeup bridge has an almost spanish guitar flair as we see more talent with his instrument. And overall the inspiration of Johann Sebastion Bach can be heard as Les points out.

On the flip side, “Hurricane Warning” is an experimental MIDI guitar odyssey. Attention grabbing melodies layered over each other perfectly with his truly mesmerizing production talents. The spacy song gives an energy that takes us to a more modern world. The track is featured in the motion picture “The Accidental Icon – The Real Gidget Story“ adding another layer to freshen up the female surfing scene.

Two more interesting and innovative tracks to add to the Les Fradkin catalog. Hear more for yourself on his WEBSITE. And we will be on the lookout for more music before we know it.
