Nebbra Pushes and Pulls With Debut EP, “You”

I’ve personally been waiting too long for tracks like this, friends.

Zeds Dead, one of the greatest in EDM, has created a label called Deadbeats. The first EP being released through this label comes from French producer Nebbra, and is called You.

Although Nebbra has attracted many listeners to his Selena Gomez, Cage the Elephant, and other remixes, this is also his first full EP release.

The four-track EP is deep, intense, and draws from complextro music like Porter Robinson’s to the dark and lucid producer What So Not. Nebbra’s own personal take on bass will hit, and it will hit you hard.

Nebbra’s as well as his label’s debut EP pushes and pulls

The EP’s title track features vocalist Mike Sabath, who fantastically pulls you into the beat with skill and a range that reminds me of Adam Levine. The chorus yanks and places you into its breaks between hits.

“Fire Away” has a deep yet lucid soundscape that reminds me of What So Not’s latest EDM/trap hybrid EP. The track features Oktavian, a vocalist who deserves a lot more credit than he’s received thus far. His precise vocal control and power perfectly fit into the dark, intense beat.

“Gladiator” has drums and popping lead synths that put you on the tip of your toes. The build up’s bass pulls you in and the chorus pads paint a picture of an epic battle of wills.

“On the Moon” is probably Nebbra’s most passionately personal and heartfelt track on the EP. I definitely would pay to see him play the crazy synth arpeggios live.

You is available on Soundcloud as well as most other platforms, which you can find here!

If you listen to and love this EP, I’d recommend catching his latest two-track single with Annabel Jones as well!
