Electronic duo O Future (previous OOFJ), comprised of Katherine Mills Rymer and Jens Bjornkjaer, have released the video for their latest single “Spy.” Quickly approaching the drop of their new album, Voyeur, on November 14th the music video for “Spy” is satiating fans cravings for the blend O Future brings to the table.
Inspired by 1970’s spy thrillers, specifically the late 60’s green European parks and the laconic meanderings of Terrance Stamp and Vanessa Redgrave, the video for “Spy” is cinematic and entrancing. The track is about avoiding true intimacy in a relationship as you act as the spy in your own life, looking from the outside and not feeling but “kissing with your eyes open,” explains Rymer.
O Future came together in a beautiful happenstance, with Katherine and Jens working in two different career paths, and ever since they’ve been crafting a sound uniquely their own. Blending beautiful orchestral symphonies with pulsating indie-electronic riffs, O Future grabs your attention and keeps you there with them with “Spy” and proves that their upcoming album Voyeur is one to look out for.
Voyeur features guest appearances from SuneRose Wagner of The Ravonettes, Matt Popieluch of Big Search and percussion work by Trentemollers drummer Jakob Hoyer. The album will include O Future’s previously released singles “Smell You” and “Telephone” which have already reached #1 and #2 on the Hype Machine charts.
On top of working hard on the upcoming release of their album, O Future is also working alongside Andrew Van Baal to score his upcoming feature film Ambrosia, creating an algorithmic opera with the graphic design team SULSOLSAL and a violin concerto with The Concert Master of the Royal Danish Opera.
