Hailing from Waynesville, OH, Richard Lynch is an American country music artist who has compiled a long list of country hits and chart toppers in the world of traditional country music. His single, “A Better Place” topped the New Music Weekly AM/FM country chart, the IndieWorld Country Record Report, and spent an incredible 32 weeks atop the Roots Music Report True Country chart. His next single, “We’re American Proud” also topped the charts.
His last two releases, “Cut and Paste” and “Back In Love Again” with Grammy winner, Rhonda Vincent, also reached Number One the airplay charts. Richard is a multiple-award-winning artist and a member of the Independent Country Music Hall of Fame. He is also the founder of Love Tattoo Foundation for veterans. Richard Lynch hosts “Traditionally Lynch,” currently airing on Cincinnati television stations. His current single, “Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore” is climbing airplay charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
Tell us about the music scene in Dayton/Cincinnati.
There is a lot of interest and desire for traditional country music in the
Dayton/Cincinnati area and we have a large following. In the 80s and 90s
and early 2000s we played 6 nights a week year round, there were several
clubs and venues to play and the music was hot. These days this does not exist,
there are limited amounts of places to play but we make our
opportunities and stay busy.

If you could tour with one artist, opening shows, whom would that be?
That would be Alan Jackson or George Strait
Why is “Mending Fences” an important music release? Why should new
listeners give it a chance?
We have new recorded brand new traditional country music on this album with
the true country instrumentation by the top players in the industry. The
songs were written by various real country songwriters including a couple by me.
The sound mix and engineering is top notch with an extraordinary high
level of sound. People who want the true traditional country music have
loved this album and are blown away that there is this caliber of music
being made in the studio……gives them what they are looking for.
If you could perform in your dream venue, where would that be, and why?
RL: The Grand Ole Opry, the ultimate country music stage carrying the tradition
of the country music genre
Your favorite song on your album is? Why is that?
RL: My favorite song is Daddy’s Words because I wrote this with my Dad in mind,
I wouldn’t have become a country singer if hadn’t been for my Dad leading
the way.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
RL: I will still be playing my traditional country music for all those people
who love and appreciate my music
What means more to you: Sales, Awards, or critical praise? and why?
RL: Critical praise, it means a lot to me when people let me know the true
opinions of my music, I always strive to improve and please all the people
who want to hear my music.
Who is your dream collaboration? and why?
RL: George Strait….we have similar interests, farming/ranching and the same
style of music
Where do you discover new music?
RL: Inspirations for songs that come to me in my every day life, or when
planning an album from the producers and songwriters usually in the
Nashville studios
