Markoff and Lazzara Make ‘Take On Me’ Elegant

The love of cover songs will always run deep. When an artist can take a well known song and provide their own unique spin to it great things happen. It gives the classic song new life. And also highlights the ability of the new artist to share music they love in a new and refreshing way. Our friends Steve Markoff & Patricia Lazzara are back with a new one for us to love.

The duo has been at it for a while now with both reimagining classic pop songs and their own original stylings. Steve Markoff and Patricia Lazzara keep expanding their catalog focusing on the beautiful flute sounds they have built a name behind. It seems the more they work together, the better they sound. With their growing ability, their song selection to cover is endless.

Now they are back with a new single “Take On Me” from their upcoming 2022 full album release. The single is set for release on January 3rd. This version of the 1984 new wave classic by a-ha is an elegantly delivered opus. Steve Markoff handles alto flute and Patricia Lazzara on flute while Allison Brewster Franzetti returns to provide the piano. The smooth classic delivery has a soothing effect even on such an energetic original song. Whether you have your ears laser focused or you have it playing in the background while you work, this version of “Take On Me” is something to behold.
