Rebecca Jade Asks “What’s It Gonna Be”

When an artist is able to pour their heart and soul into their music so much that listeners can feel the emotion in their songs, it is an amazing thing. That is what singer/songwriter Rebecca Jade has done with her new single “What’s It Gonna Be.”

Rebecca Jade is an R&B singer/songwriter and actor based out of Southern California. Coming from a musical home, Jade was inspired by a wide variety of artists, genres and styles, and acquired a passion for music.

She took this passion and immersed herself in many musical studies. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in Theatre & Performance Studies, University of Phoenix with an MBA in Marketing, and Grossmont college with a degree in Jazz Theory and Classical Voice.

As a 6 time San Diego Music Award winner (including 2020 “Artist of the Year” and 2021 “Song of The Year” awards), a featured artist on Dave Koz tours, a background vocalist for the Queen of Percussion and Sheila E., an opener for Will Downing, Boney James, and Jeffery Osborne, 27 years of recording studio experience, among so many more achievements, it is safe to say that Rebecca Jade is quite an accomplished woman.

Jade’s new single “What’s It Gonna Be” is an uplifting song that inspires you to be yourself, stay strong, and not let anything get in the way of your inner power.

My favorite lyrics in the song would definitely have to be the chorus. “Don’t let no one take away your, your place in the sun. Don’t let no one win your race no, no you’ve only just begun. You can fight or you can hide, run away or take it in stride. What’s it gonna be?”

“What’s It Gonna Be” is 4 minutes and 43 seconds of smooth R&B vocals and instrumentation that truly showcase the talent in Jade’s vocals and songwriting.

I will admit R&B is not my go to genre of music, but I can’t deny that Jade has a beautiful voice and a true talent for R&B music which I respect so much. She has had the chance to share the stage with big name artists and has achieved so much on her own that I would like to congratulate her for.

If you’re a fan of R&B music I would highly recommend giving Rebecca Jade’s song “What’s It Gonna Be” a listen!

Keep Up With Rebecca Jade
