The Forcefields Let You ‘Slip Away’ With New Single

There is not much more powerful than finding your perfect musical companion. We all start on our own and create from our own minds but when the right person comes along the combination of two like minds can bring the music, and the creativity to a whole higher plane. This seems to be the case with the recent formation of The Forcefields.

The new project is a collaboration between acclaimed singer/songwriter Julia Othmer and UK producer James T Lundie. Together as The Forcefields (and with their new monikers Aayama and Max Forcefield), the duo creates a danceable cosmic sound. In their words “Our mission is to generate connectivity, love, peace and resolution. We aim to show how beautiful the world can be.” The exotic music they produce is a beginning to that beauty.

We had a chance to hear the Forcefields new single “Slip Away” in advance of its February 27th release as part of their debut EP Bridge. As the track starts we can feel an interesting energy building right away. Sounds build on top of eachother to create a full musical tapestry. There is a positive vibe that emanates out of the innovative soundscape.

The vocals are delivered with a dynamic emotion that draws the listener in. With high end production around it, there is just something special here. The Forcefields say “Slip Away” represents two polarities: the purple of loving resonance and the gray of its dispersion. We get to experience the full spectrum of what the pair has to share with us. There is a lot going on here that may demand multiple listens to take it all in. Each listen seems to increase my love for the song.

Looking forward to hearing and seeing more of The Forcefields journey. Keep up with them HERE.
