Tommy Roumanas – The Art Of Storytelling In Song

Some of the best songs ever written are not about some fantasy world made up in a songwriters mind.  They are real life stories shared in song.  The artists that are unafraid to put their real life experiences out there for the world to hear have a “realness” about them that makes them very relatable to fans.  A good example is our latest find Tommy Roumanas.

Tommy Roumanas

The British Columbia native picked up the guitar at the age of 17 and found his passion.  Tommy comes from a long line of musically gifted family members so once the music bug bit him there was no turning back.  What he enjoys most is writing songs about everyday people and the trials and tribulations that they sometimes get themselves into.  Some of his influences that push his storytelling pop rock style are the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and John Lennon.

Recently Tommy Roumanas released the song “She Keeps Me (Rockin’)” to an awaiting fanbase.  The scratchy lo-fi opening fools the listener into a false sense of warm security.  By the time the full sound comes in you will be wrapped in energetic sound.  The chorus is a super catchy melodic wordplay that will have everyone singing along before they know it.  True talent for songwriting exudes from the track as well as an impressive guitar solo.  Keep up with Tommy on his entertaining website at: http://tommyroumanas.com/
