Combinations of genres continue to impress me. The idea to combine different styles to create something new and fresh will never get old. Today we received a song from Cole Holland that strives for setting itself apart by mixing genres.
Seattle, Washington native Cole Holland comes from a classical background but has added hip-hop, electronic and experimental influences to his sound. He works with other top musicians, producers , and writers to attempt to create the sounds of tomorrow. The track today is the rap heavy “Drop It”. The song jumps right into the party with a pumping beat and energy. The lyrics come in to tell the story of a drive for success. The repetitive “drop it” line will get stuck in your head quickly.
