Atom Stone

What we soak in at an early age will always guide us in the future paths we choose. When it comes to music, this is often undeniable. The allure of creating music draws many of us to pursue it as a career even without the promise of fame and fortune. It seems our recent discovery Atom Stone had no choice with his upbringing and his gift of a fantastic singing voice.

With his father and uncle running a recording studio in Utica, New York, Atom Stone would spend many weekends soaking it all in. Being young and impressionable fueled his inspiration to dive head first into the music scene. Before long he was able to run live sound and was performing in many local and regional bands perfecting his talent as a top notch vocalist. Experience was gained and now Atom Stone is delivering his own debut album Take Me To The Fire.

The 11-track record is a love letter to the golden age of Melodic Rock. Drawing clear influence from giants like Journey and Bon Jovi, the record is full of catchy, guitar-driven anthems that will have you cranking up the volume and dreaming back to an earlier time of big fun rock n roll.

The title track “Take Me To The Fire” explodes right out of the gate. A big anthem that perfectly captures the electrifying energy of live rock. Solid production lets Atom Stone’s vocals soar effortlessly while the band lays down a solid foundation of synth sounds and guitar riffs.

This high-energy vibe continues throughout much of the album, with tracks like “Battlefield” and “Hell On Wheels” offering pure, unadulterated rock and roll pleasure that is missing in most modern rock music.

While the album is heavy on classic rock influences, Atom Stone isn’t afraid to show off a bit of variety. The opening ballad, “I Believe,” offers a powerful vocal performance and real emotional depth with its slowed down vibe. “The Real Thing” follows this formula as well with some big time vocals leading the way.

While the vocals of Atom Stone shine through, guitar fans will find plenty to enjoy on Take Me To The Fire as well. The album is packed with impressive solos and scorching riffs on tracks like “Tonight” and “Hurt Me” that showcase the talents of the band.

Take Me To The Fire is a solid debut that delivers exactly what it promises: high-energy Melodic Rock with soaring vocals, killer guitar work, and catchy hooks. While it might not be changing the world, it’s a well-crafted and enjoyable album that will have you rocking along and feeling the energy pump.
