Omnis Collective

We can all agree that being part of something bigger can help in your career growth. Collectives have been a great solution to find like minds that can help everyone reach their goals. Together we are stronger.

We recently came across the Omnis Collective which seesm to be on the right track. We caught up with the founders to get a little deeper into the group. Enjoy the interview:

First off, tell us about the name The Omnis Collective?

Ryan: Omnis means everyone and everything in latin.

Miguel: considering one of our main goals is to be genre diverse we thought that suited us perfectly.

How would you describe the group’s sound?

Miguel: Bit of this, bit of that. We try to focus on the moment, and what is inspiring us at that current time.

Ryan: Exactly, the inspiration comes from all sorts of places, I like to think we don’t have a particular sound.

Which artists have had the biggest influence on The Omnis Collective?

Ryan: It depends, we’re strongly influenced by the 60’s and 70’s, so for example, we take inspirations from bands like Led Zeppelin and put our modern twist on it.

Miguel: But obviously there’s a lot of current bands that are very influential to our sound such as Tame Impala, Wallows and MGMT.

What is the vision for growing the collective?

Miguel: Keep making music, connect with the fans, and we’re dying to tour!

Ryan: I think we just need to keep doing what we’re doing, it seems to be working. The more we experience, the better we get.

Miguel: We always want each song to sound better than the last.

How does a song come together for you? What is the songwriting process?

Ryan: For me personally, I feel like I’m heavily influenced by what I’m currently listening to. Obviously what I listen to is influenced by how I’m feeling, so it all ties together.

Miguel: What Ryan said is spot on. It all depends on the moment.

What do you hope the listener will take away from your music?

Miguel: A whole lot of satisfaction. I’d like to believe that people can connect to our music, and relate with the lyrics.

Ryan: I hope that when people hear our music, they feel understood, like you’d be surprised by how many people can share the same experiences.

Share some advice for other artists looking to do something different.

Miguel: Be yourself, don’t be scared to experiment. For me, the ambition to be different comes from wanting to live my life how I think it should be lived.

Ryan: Yeah pretty much… Do your own thing, but don’t be afraid to take inspiration from the things around you.

Give us a look at the future of The Omnis Collective?

Miguel: Only time can tell that story. But I feel it’s gonna be big.

Ryan: I see sold out shows, freedom and a lot of fun.
