🎸 INDIE ARTIST TIP 15

Your artist bio isn't there to impress you.

It's there to make a stranger want to hear your music.

Tell people who you are.
Tell them what your music sounds like.
Give them a reason to care about your story.
And tell them what's happening now.

Your bio should answer one important question:

"Why should I listen?"

Take a look at your bio today. Would it make a new listener curious?

👇 If you're an independent artist, drop your bio link in the comments. Let's see what you're working with.

🎸 Indie Artist Tip #14

Don’t spam—listen first.

Start with genuine interest. Find artists you actually like, listen to their music, and start a conversation.

The relationships you build today can lead to collaborations, shows, introductions, and opportunities down the road.

Build relationships before asking for favors.

What independent artist have you connected with recently?
