Coming out of Vancouver, Canada, The Twitch makes tense, hooky, anthemic music that feels restless in the best way. With a sound that’s raw, sharp, and hard to pin down, the band has been steadily building buzz beyond their local scene. We caught up with them to talk about their process, influences, and what’s coming next. Enjoy the interview below:

First off, where did the band name The Twitch come from?

It came from how people were reacting to when we played our music to them.

How would you describe your sound?

Psychedelic Goth Rock

Which bands have had the biggest influence on The Twitch?

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin & Cream

How does a song come together for the band? What is the songwriting process?

It varies, somebody usually brings an idea in, then we collaborate together in writing the song, from beginning to end of it.

Your latest single “End Of The World” seems to have an epic message. What can you share about it?

Looking for hope and peace in this world, during these crazy times.

What do you hope the listener takes away from your music?

To get enjoyment in listening to our music.

Share some advice for other bands that have a real passion and message in their songs?

To work hard to get their music out to other people, all around the globe.

What does the future hold for The Twitch?

World domination!  To basically to continue to get our music out to the masses of this world.
