Over the past decade we have seen more and more artists getting their musical start at a later age. Maybe it is the technology or ease of getting your music out there now but the amount of amazing music just continues to increase. Our recent discovery Robert Alan Clark finally took the time to start recording and releasing his music and the payoff has been fruitful.
Although he has been singing and playing guitar since he was 14 years old, it took until now for the 37 year old software engineer from Montgomery, Alabama to start sharing his songs with the world. The passion for music has always been there for Robert Alan Clark but like many of us the “real world” got in the way. These lyrics and melodies sat in the back of his head just waiting for their opportunity to see the light of day.
Now Robert Alan Clark has released his single “By Your Side” for all of us to enjoy. His style of writing from personal experiences allows listeners to relate to the ideas and feelings in his songs. We are all more similar than we sometimes like to admit.
This enhanced acoustic track was written for his girlfriend/future fiancé. Robert Alan Clark is unafraid to put his true feelings in the lyrics. They are delivered with a passion and emotion that comes right through the speakers to your ears. The acoustic guitar melody creates a pep that keeps the song moving ahead while the lyrical poetry lays on top. A little flourish of reverb-drenched electric guitar adds another layer to the song to keep your attention. This is solid songwriting.
