First off, what is it that draws you to creating music?
Music is the purest way I know to express emotion and connect with others. It’s a language that transcends barriers and allows me to tell my story while resonating with someone else’s. Creating music feels like capturing pieces of my soul and sharing them with the world.
How would you describe the Jack Titus sound?
The Jack Titus sound is a blend of heartfelt Pop and smooth R&B, infused with emotional storytelling and global influences. It’s introspective yet accessible, with lush harmonies and dynamic melodies that invite listeners to feel deeply.
Which artists have had the biggest influence on you?
Artists like Adele, Sam Smith, and Frank Ocean have influenced me with their vulnerability and artistry. I’m also inspired by the timeless storytelling of legends like Whitney Houston and the genre-blending creativity of newer acts like The Weeknd.
How does a song come to you? Tell us about your songwriting process.
Songs often come to me in moments of reflection. It usually starts with a melody or a lyric idea that sparks something in me. From there, I build the song around that core emotion, letting the words and sound naturally evolve. I strive to keep the process organic, driven by honesty and connection.
What can you tell us about your brand new music video for Love Language?
The music video for Love Language is a visual representation of intimacy and connection. It uses symbolic imagery and dreamlike cinematography to tell a story of love without words. Fans can expect a visually stunning journey that complements the song’s themes beautifully.
What do you hope the listeners take away from your music?
I hope my music makes listeners feel seen and understood. Whether it’s healing from heartbreak, celebrating love, or finding strength, I want my songs to be a safe space for emotions and self-discovery.
Share some advice for other artists trying to make some noise in the crowded independent music industry?
Stay authentic to your vision and don’t lose sight of why you started creating in the first place. Build genuine connections with your audience, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself—whether it’s through learning new skills, collaborating, or marketing your work.
What does the future hold for Jack Titus?
The future is all about growth and connection. I’m working on an EP that dives deeper into themes of love, identity, and resilience. Fans can also expect more live performances, collaborations, and creative projects that push boundaries. This is just the beginning!
