If you’re a fan of watching cover songs on YouTube like I am, then you may be familiar with the name Caleb Hyles. Most known for his cover song of “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen” in 2014 (which currently has over 14 million views on YouTube), Caleb Hyles has captivated the hearts of many with his extremely talented covers ranging from a number of genres including Disney, Broadway, Anime, pop-rock hits, and more!
With a whopping 1.59 million YouTube subscribers, over 1 million Spotify monthly listeners, and 11k followers on Twitch, Caleb has decided that it’s time for him to dive into the world of original music with his DEBUT album In One Breath, out now!
In One Breath is a 12 track multi-genre album that takes you on an adventure through memory and time. It is “by and large, a musical patchwork themed around the fragility of memory and brevity of time. Classic topics for lyrical music, so I wanted to take a crack at it. I think I have something “true” and “universal”, but there’s no way to quite be sure until it’s in the hands of the listeners”, says Hyles.

I love when an artist isn’t afraid to experiment with multiple genres and doesn’t limit themselves. Releasing an album with multiple-genres can be risky, but if done the right way the songs can perfectly blend together and capture the essence of the story being told. Caleb Hyles has definitely achieved this with In One Breath. His sound is eclectic, restless, dynamic, alternative, and has a free spirit to it.
While I love every song on In One Breath, the top three standout songs for me are “On My Own”, “Sometimes You Just Forget Things”, and “Wasting Time.”
“If there is one thing to take away from this album I’d want for it to be that it’s never too late to make a change that will change everything”, says Hyles.
There will be plenty of album material coming out months after In One Breath‘s release. But there are also some other exceptionally cool projects on the horizon, just be on the lookout! Lots of new things are happening in 2022.
