Dirty Fences are Finally Touring ‘Goodbye Love’

Dirty Fences

If you’re looking for a rocking way to start your 2018, make it with Dirty Fences. About ready to set out on tour for their Goodbye Love album, the four-piece band from New York is bringing back the classic sounds of all your favorites from the Rolling Stones to Ramones.

Goodbye Love from Dirty Fences is all the rock you’re currently missing from your life.

Straight away with “All You Need Is A Number” you’re taken into Dirty Fences gritty, dirty rock sound that created legends. Their distorted guitarists ring through your speakers into your ears and suddenly you feel like you’re in a dirty bar packed shoulder to shoulder between sweaty drunk strangers. You can hear the inspirations from the generations of rock before them with the quick chord changes, simple but driving drum beats, and gritty vocals that course over the track.

“911” feels exactly like a Ramones track. Clocking in at under 2-minutes with an easy to follow pattern, Dirty Fences prove they can bring inspiration and make it entirely their own as the track keeps the Dirty Fences feel as all the others before it. Leading right into “Dance,” another under 2-minute, quick track, the foundations of rock are kept but translated to a modern audience.

The longest track on the album and in three (one of my favorite things) is sappy breakup ballad “One More Step” featuring Christina Halladay. Dueling male and female gritty vocals make you feel every feeling during a breakup. With lyrics like “one more step from your heart” you can feel the longing that crappy breakups bring. An epic guitar solo breaks up the track and falls right back into the groove of things.

Though Dirty Fences clearly has the influences of the greats before them, you can’t help but hear the identity the carve-out across the 12 tracks on Goodbye Love. With meaty riffs, distinct vocals, and amazing guitar playing Jack Daves, Max Roseglass, Max Comaskey and Max Hiersteiner come together to create Dirty Love’s third studio album in a time that good rock is missing.

You can catch them on their 32 city long haul tour for Goodby Love and find the album on limited-edition vinyl, cassette, CD, and on streaming services.
