Prepare to get weirded out with a new video by Getter. But in a way where you have to press rewind and watch again and again.
Lets Get Weird
Up and coming EDM DJ Getter released a video for his latest track “Forget It” featuring Oliver Tree, directed by Liam Underwood. Getter’s past music videos always seem to have a dark science fiction theme running through the imagery but only to parallel with his type of technology enhanced, heart pounding music.
In the video, a man tries to replace the love he lost with homemade clones. In “Forget It” you hear a warmer deeper sound rather than a one stop shop head banger. Every DJ needs his slow jam and this is Getter’s. “Forget it” shows the darker side of love but it reminds you, in a twisted way, that some people are just impossible to replace to matter how hard you try.
Getter keeping things interesting
This track is different than his usual music but it shows that, as Getter grows as a DJ, his talent and music making ability grows in range. Getter has shared stages with Borgore, Marshmello, and Skrillex and is gaining momentum as he continues his North America summer tour.
Getter is no stranger to creative music videography, either. He has had his share of acting stints on Youtube shorts and Vine videos in the past. Director/producer Liam Underwood has experience working with interesting visuals and you can really see his one of a kind style in this video. Be on the look out for Getter and Oliver Tree in their “Forget it” cameos. Although both artists do show up in the video, Underwood really makes this video about the music and the message in the vocals.
