The UK had bred amazing singers and songwriters, it has to be something in the water. From the boys of One Direction to Ed Sheeran, Joseph Knight easily competes with them. Armed with his latest single “White Wine,” Knight is ready to show the world what he’s made of.
UK singer-songwriter Joseph Knight shows us what he’s made of with “White Wine.”
At only 18-years-old, Knight is making waves across the UK. Having released two EPs that received generous airplay on BBC Introducing East Midlands and Radio 6 Music, and racking up over 70,000 streams online, he’s also made 150 stops around the country to play his music.
With his latest single “White Wine,” Knight carves out his own space that artists like Ed Sheeran or Shawn Mendes are doing — except he’s doing it all himself. With a massive chorus that sounds like it belongs on the radio, Knight reels you in with his vocal performance. Combing an acoustic melody with expansive percussion sections and synthy chords filling the background, Knight creates a soundscape that is all his own but rivals with some of pop’s biggest stars.
Lyrically, Knight takes you on a journey of self-discovery because of someone else and not wanting to lose that feeling. It’s hard not to be taken into the story and be captured by Knight’s smooth vocal performance over an acoustic dominated track.
Having performed headline shows, supported acts like Augustana, Lewis Watson, The Hoosiers, and Tom Walker, and even taken the stage at Y Not Festival, Bearded Theory Festival, Dot To Dot, and Splendour Festival, Knight is making his presence known. Heading out on a UK tour (tickets here) and hopefully making a debut in the US soon, 2018 is quickly becoming a massive year for the singer-songwriter.
