When creating music each song should have real meaning to you. Whether writing your own songs or recreating songs by others, you need to pour your heart into it. Our friends Steve Markoff & Patricia Lazzara have returned with the last single before their full album release scheduled for June 21st, the first day of summer.
Choosing songs for the album that they could transform into their own with their piano and flute talents has been a mission. The finale is “Look What You’ve Done To Me.” The 1980 song by classic singer-songwriter Boz Skaggs was actually the wedding song of Steve Markoff and his wife 39 years ago. She requested that the song be a part of the album. And of course he said yes.
The elegant piano of the original song is recreated to open the track. As the flute comes in we can feel the emotion translated through the speakers even without the use of lyrics. The easy flow moves along in a peaceful manner that could ease the most troubled mind. The mesh of instruments blends perfectly to add to the gracefulness.
