Once the bite of music has sunk its teeth in you there is no getting rid of the infection.  The attraction that an artist feels for the sounds of music are immeasurable.  Especially if that artist is skilled with his instrument such as our latest discovery Michael Baggett and his group the Amberson Baggett Band.

AB Band

What began in the summer of 1975 in Alabama gripped the then teenage boy and has stuck with him until now.  That sound was the draw and energy of Southern Rock guitar.  Life moved fast for Michael Baggett and 35 years past with some ups and some downs but the most important thing was growing his family.  The musical dream never died and before he know it Michael’s sons Chris and Luke were following in his footsteps.  Along the years he had also become friends with talented singer Ted Amberson.  Everything finally lined up and the time was now for Michael to follow his dream.  He got all of them together and the Amberson Baggett Band was born.  Thing came together fast and a demo CD was recorded.  The group got out there and played shows even through the difficulty of venues thinking their bluesy Southern Rock sound was music of the past.  The goal never died and Amberson Baggett Band pushed through and is now about to break through with their second record.

The new record is called You Are Here and has been gaining the band some nice recognition.  The 6 track album welcomes new listeners with a warm southern charm.  Lead single “I’m A Man” comes right at you with strong guitar leads pairing with passionate vocals to create a very catchy song.  The impressive guitar work continues on “Blind Man” and “Rise Of The Rebel”.  There is a lot of talent spilling throughout this band.  The songwriting skills show off on “Little Missy”.  The groove seeps deep into your soul and will have your toes tapping along.  Keep up with the rise of Amberson Baggett Band at:   http://www.ambersonbaggettband.com/
