Hard alternative rock will always have its place in the world of music. Fans hold on tightly to the sound and become lifelong supporters of their favorite bands. This fandom spreads all over the world. Our recent discovery The Honest Rest is bringing the raw rock power from Berlin, Germany to share with the world.
The hard alternative rock band was originally made up of André Albrecht (rhythm guitar, songwriting), Phil Kayser (bass) and Marco Krause (drums). The guys always had the love for creating powerful and emotional rock songs but finding Dirk to lead the way with his exceptional voice and André Seydler on drums has set The Honest Rest on a path to rock stardom.
December 2018 saw the band start recording their first five songs which led to the release of the EP 3 Months on Feb. 1st, 2019. The reception was great so The Honest Rest got right back to work writing more songs. The latest result is the single “Judgement Day”, along with its music video, to keep the power going. Another EP Gone Forever is scheduled for release on October 18th.
The song starts with a progressive rock feel but soon shows its true hard rock colors with aggressive distorted guitars. Dirk’s vocals draw the listener in and then soar high for the chorus. There is just a raw power here that is tough to describe. Engaging and enticing at the same time. The music video gives us a look into the studio for the creation and recording of the song as well.
