Musical genres will always evolve and splinter off into many subgenres. Some see this as progress of the sound while others yearn for the classic styles of the past. Our recent discovery NeodotcoM has found a way to blend it all together to create his own sound that is fresh yet appeals to the old schoolers.
Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, it was not always easy for the up and coming rapper. The self-proclaimed “Ghetto Huxtable” is also an author and mathemagician. He puts his all into everything he does.
NeodotcoM has always been a true student of the hip hop game. Inspired by Drink Champs, Versuz, and the legends of Hip-Hop, NeodotcoM is determined to both pay homage to the past while simultaneously giving us a glimpse of the future. His sound takes from RnB, House, Soul, DrumnBass & Trip-Hop to create something that is truly unique without sounding strange.
The newest single “Brenda Got A Baby” by NeodotcoM sets the tone for what he is all about. The track brings back both the 2pac classic of the same name and the Marvin Gaye classic “What’s Going On”. Producer Tall Black Guy was brought in to flesh out the mash up of sound. The duality of classic and fresh flows takes the song to a higher level. It can truly be appreciated by all, especially lovers of lyrical expertise.
NeodotcoM has promised his next release, Type Beast will be available 1st quarter of 2021 and his Debut Album, Atari Gold will be released in the summer.
