In any budding music career there will be ups and downs. The main ingredient for success is to keep pushing forward towards your goals. In the end you must be willing to put all your cards on the table and dive in with both feet. Our recent find Zak Fleisher can attest to this mantra and is now on his way.
The 22 year old Australian, is a multi-instrumentalist and talented singer-songwriter. It began for Zak Fleisher at the young age of 7 when he first picked up a guitar. There was no looking back as he knew then what he truly wanted to do with his life.
In his formative high school years, Zak was the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for the band The Plugs. They achieved much competition success and even some national radio play on Triple J Radio. As High School bands do, The Plugs disbanded as quickly as they started. Not one to be idle for long, Zak Fleisher formed the two-piece Rock/Blues band The Itch. Local success followed but it wasn’t meant to be and that duo folded too. The EGO trio came next and local success arrived again.
The real world came calling and Zak was ready to settle into the comfort of a 9 to 5 job in a large accounting firm. He realized quickly he could not drop his passion so he stepped up and took the leap of faith and poured all his energy into a solo career and travelling to the United States to open up more opportunities.
Zak Fleisher developed his own original brand of catchy, edgy, easy listening, alternative blues, folk rock that is drawing in new fans in droves.
He has put out a string of songs on Soundcloud, the latest being “Green Girl”. The version here he calls his ‘Garage Band Version’. The raw and organic feel of the guitar draws in the listener. The melody blends multiple genres to form something fresh yet relatable. The vocals are sung in a style that seems like Zak Fleisher is singing only to you. This captivating approach is sure to keep his career on the upswing.
