The Sheyana Band Wishes Us ‘All The Best’

The Sheyana Band
Spread the knowledge

The Sheyana Band displays true blues/rock mastery on the group’s new recording All The Best. Operating out of Northwest Tasmania, TSB has developed a winning sound that mixes blues tradition, rock vibes, and melodic and instrumental ways that weave in and out of the typical on the road to the sublime.

Released on October 10th, 2025, All The Best is composed of the cherry-picked best tracks from the band’s Big Love album and Ricochet EP augmented with three new songs cut fresh for this set. The sound is focused around lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Sheyana, a big-voiced and engaging performer of Celtic and Sri Lankan extraction. She’s all presence and soul here, elevating The Sheyana Band far beyond being just another riff-and-jam crew.

Behind her, the muscle and groove is laid down by a lineup of some of Tasmania’s finest musicians. Guitarist/vocalist Wayne Rand, bassist Dan Jeffery, and drummer/vocalist Leigh Hill kick up a fine rumpus, delivering one cracking performance after another.

Get Down & Dirty With The Sheyana Band

All The Best kicks off with the rocking Texas shuffle “Forth Valley Blues,” an energetic number with a strong vocal hook and lots of hot guitar. Sheyana’s bold and expressive vocal tones quickly demonstrate that she’s one of the real ones and will win over new fans on the first spin.

“Wasted” is a dramatic, classic rock-influenced song that pushes hard yet also shows the sort of bare-knuckle nuance that helps define The Sheyana Band. The group rocks with urgency while Sheyana is spellbinding at the vocal mic. The guitar work is aggressive but intricate and never gets in the way of the tune’s big picture.

The relentless boogie beat of “Big Love” is glorious and full of fun. Dan Jeffrey and Leigh Hill sparkle together as a rhythm section here and throughout these sessions. The guitar solos take the track to another level. Top notch playing here.

Other top moments on All The Best include “Big Hearts”– a rollicking rocker with a big room feel, “Mr. Jackson,” a slowed down emotional burner, and the stripped back country sound of album closer “Back In Time” with its epic buildup.

The Sheyana Band gets all the way down from start to finish on All The Best and will absolutely light up blues/rock fans around the world. Hopefully, this will be the record that gets the band the wider attention they deserve. Highly recommend you give it a spin and spread the word.
