Alice Gray is an up and coming indie-pop artist who debuted in 2017 with her single, “Pink Cadillac”, and has since continued to draw listeners into her world with successful singles including “Take Me to the Water” and “Lay Down.” Her defined message and aesthetic can be reflected in the previously released, “Hell With You” which showcased fantastical elements.
Raised in San Diego and currently based in L.A., Alice aims to make music that “feels perfect for a cruise down the Pacific Coast Highway.” Using breezy, dream-pop melodies and intimate storytelling, she aims to draw listeners in to an ethereal world. Her music has so far gained attention on New Music Friday, NYLON, Wildfox Couture, and Outdoor Voices.
Now Alice is back with her new single, “Indigo”, co-written with long-time collaborator Peter Fenn.
True to form, the single showcases Alice’s crystal-clear vocals floating atop moody lo-fi beats. Alice describes the song as “a dreamy sexy summer song about a night-swim with your lover.” The song certainly conveys the blissful, dreamy feeling of being in water. Alice’s intimate vocals and the overall chill vibe of the single suit the summer and give the listener the feeling of swaying in the water.
Stay tuned for more new music from Alice Gray as she is currently preparing for the release of her debut album titled Paradise? due out on August 23rd.
