It is a story we hear often. A talented individual finds a passion for music early in life. The hard part becomes putting in the years of practice and hard work to bring these skills to the level needed to make a career out of it. There must be a real dedication to put in that time. Luckily for all of us, our recent find Anzi did what needed to be done and is now about to reap the rewards.
The artist born and bred in Washington, DC has had a love affair with music and performing since grade school. At a young age, she began acting and singing in musical theater as well as performing in national choirs. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Anzi continued honing her skills in school musicals, choirs, a capella groups, and countless years of vocal lessons.
The passion continued through her college years as Anzi earned a degree in psychology and theater at Georgetown University and later received her Master’s Degree in social work at The University of Maryland. Music remained a big part of her life and she recently signed with Chrome City Records to launch her singing career.

Last month Anzi released her debut single “On My Own” to introduce herself to the world. It is available on iTunes and Amazon. The pretty piano melody that starts the song sets the listener up for the classic and powerful voice that Anza brings to the table. You can sense the emotion in the song as she pours her heart into it. If this continues she will not be On Her Own for much longer.
