Based out of Munich Germany, indie-pop duo Flor & The Sea released their brand new EP “Kings & Queens” late last year. Originally made up of five members, the group went through a redesign following a break up. Marc Aretz (guitar/synth) and Chaem (vox) decided to keep Flor & The Sea alive as a duo.
Listen to “Kings & Queens” the title track off of the duo’s EP HERE.
Listening to this EP the groups’ influences are clear, sounding like an electro pop mix of Flume, Miike Snow and Alt-J. The track listing consists of five songs; A Candid Lie, Dark Minds, Kings & Queens, Reconnect, Arcadia
“With Kings & Queens we wanted to create a unique and cohesive sound that blends our influences from indie, EDM, ambient, electronica and pop. Each track has its own personality but they find a common thread in Chaem’s bright vocals, the expansive guitar and synth soundscapes, and the intricate mix of electro and acoustic drums. Lyrically Kings & Queens is introspective. The music wants to take you on a journey inward… From melancholia to euphoria, the gamut of human emotion is all there, waiting to be discovered by listeners.”
