Richard Schroder Shows Us ‘The Stillness’

Richard Schroder has been diligently working to breakthrough the Nashville country music scene. He’s put the years in perfecting his craft and it’s all starting to truly pay off. Richard had the opportunity to work with some amazing names and talents in Nashville that helped elevate his career to the next level. Now, Richard maintains his momentum with his latest EP The Stillness.

He paired up with award-winning songwriter Steve Seskin (7-time #1 hit songwriter for Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and others) to make The Stillness his most personal release yet. “This time, we wanted to write more personal music, and connect on themes that felt more positive, more uplifting. Of course, there will always be room for a good love song,” he says. “But there’s also room for a tune that can lift someone’s spirits or give them the courage to carry on.” 

The EP contains six tracks that entertain and keep you upbeat. Each song feels like it has it’s own story, each with a different purpose within the EP. “The One I Run To” is the enchanting love song on the album, and who doesn’t love a lil’ warm and fuzzy feeling? Richard does an excellent job at conveying the emotions he wants to through his vocals and well-crafted instrumentals to compliment.

“Life Is Now” and “Time’s A Wastin'” both take the inspirational take, encouraging folks to live their lives without regret. “Time’s A Wastin'” is the EP’s closer and it was an excellent choice from Richard and his team. It’s a perfect, upbeat track with some really rocking instrumentals. It’s a showstopper that does exactly what Richard wanted to do, which is uplift people.

All in all, Richard Schroder really flexes his capabilities within this EP. Each song is unique, emotive, and packed with talent. Country needs to make room for Richard Schroder, cause he’s coming to make himself known.
