Bronze Whale and The Odds Release “Mercy,” Final Preview of Upcoming Album

Bronze Whale

Bronze Whale, a future-indie duo from Texas, has by now released all three singles with singer/songwriter The Odds from their upcoming collaborative EP Million. Bronze Whale, comprised of Aaron Jaques and Benny Alley, has been releasing and remixing electronic music since they started in 2011. The Odds’ soaring, soulful voice lends an essential voice to the EP.

The collaborators first released “Best” from their new EP, a chill track featuring pads and soul. The next preview they released was “Call Me Out,” an anthem with no less soul but plenty more sass. The EP as a whole has influence from R&B, EDM, glitch, soul, and even a hint of trap.

Bronze Whale and The Odds Release Their EP’s Final Single, “Mercy”

“Mercy” begins with a heart-filling pad progression with The Odds’ heart-tugging voice. “You have to love / You have to give yourself away” he calls out before each breakdown. Between each of these breakdowns is a surreal atmosphere with snare-like clicks that keep you on your toes. Lyrically, vocally, and production-wise this is a quality single.
