Go To “Califas” With DENM and Jared Watson

“Come move with me, come dance with me. Before the summer leaves.” Those are the chorus lyrics to the newest song from DENM, “Califas” featuring Jared Watson of Dirty Heads.

Southern California singer/songwriter and producer DENM has been quickly rising to fame with his unique blend of alternative rock, reggae, and hip-hop. DENM has been featured on big-name playlists such as Spotify’s The New Alt, Apple Music’s New In Alt, and SiriusXM’s The Spectrum. His Spotify monthly followers has exceeded half a million, which is very impressive.

DENM’s highly anticipated album Slum Beach Denny released on May 14th and features 16 songs including singles “Fallin”, “My Wave”, “Blow Up”, and  “Califas”.

DENM About Shooting “Califas” Video:

“We shot the video in two days all over SoCal. Jared Watson is just a legend for being down to go on 6-hour road trips just to get the shot. We got to make some art that we love.”

Jared Watson of Dirty Heads About “Califas”:

“DENM reached out to me and I liked what I heard. But it wasn’t until I got in the studio with him that I was really blown away. He has that effortless talent. Not only with his voice but his vision and production. On a musical level, on a personal level, and on a creative level, the connection was there instantly. And you can hear that in the originality of ‘Califas.’ We chatted for a bit, bounced ideas around and then like that, we banged that song out in one session. It was done in hours, that’s how you know you have something special.”

What I like about the “Califas” music video is that DENM and Jared Watson shot it on a series of road trips. It adds to the So Cal summer vibe that can be heard throughout the song and seen in the video. With the unique mixture of genres that make up DENM’s sound, I’m excited to see what else he brings to the table!
