DTB Chris Starts It Off With ‘Beginning Of A Legend’

DTB Chris

Age is just a number in the music business. If a young person (or an older person) is willing to put in the hard work success will come. We recently came across DTB Chris who seems to be at the start of his own prosperous journey in music.

Born and raised in Long Island, New York, the 13-year-old rapper has been quite prolific. Late 2019 saw DTB Chris’ debut single release “Catch an Opp” featuring Bugszy Citglo. It seemed to catch on quickly with over 100,000 streams already. The music kept flowing with more singles including “The Spot”, “Yo Bro!”. And “Not Lucky” Songwriting comes quickly and there seems to be no slowing down.

On March 20th, DTB Chris put out his first full length record Beginning of a Legend. The 14 track album is not just set with a clever name, there is a real start to something here. The unique vocal style comes at us right away with the opener ”The Jungle”. There is real lyrical talent here.

Tracks such as “Poppin”, “Flex Up”, and “Spin The Clip” show some real diversity in the directions that DTB Chris can go. Working with a bunch of different producers also shows that Chris can get it done with just about anyone. Professionalism is not lacking.

Taking that to the next level, DTB Chris has released a music video for his song “Said It”. The pro video has some great backdrops Queens, NY as well as some cool graphic effects that add a fun flair to it and keep it visually interesting. The flow is just as interesting.

We had the chance to chat with the young rising star and get a better look into him as an artist. Enjoy the interview here:
