Spend A “Homemade Holiday” With Babygirl

Babygirl’s accomplished songwriting duo intertwine clever lyrics, vast musicality, and a distinctive perspective with airy pop songs. This has propelled Babygirl to join the ranks of indie pop rock artists Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo, and Soccer Mommy. Babygirl’s emotive songs provide a release that can soothe listeners by expressing feelings that they may have struggled to communicate.

Babygirl is made up of Kirsten “Kiki” Frances and Cameron “Bright” Breithaupt. Kirsten’s influences include Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, and Hilary Duff, and began creating her own songs at nine years old. Cameron grew up surrounded by music as the child of two full-time professional musicians. These two halves of Babygirl share admiration for Alvvays, blink-182, John Mayer, Death Cab For Cutie, and Taylor Swift. But their paths ultimately crossed in high school through their shared interest in Lil Wayne.

Babygirl recently released a dreamy new remix for their wistful song “Homemade Holiday” as a holiday gift for their fans. Pop rock band Babygirl’s “Homemade Holiday” first appeared on their 2018 EP Lovers Fevers, which also includes their single “Soft.” This caught the attention of GRAMMY-nominated powerhouse J Kash (Katy Perry, Charlie Puth) who signed Babygirl to Sandlot Records in global partnership with AWAL Recordings. Babygirl’s pop songs have independently amassed over 3 million organic streams, receiving acclaim from Paper Magazine, NPR, Noisey, Stereogum, UPROXX, High Snobiety, and more.

In their new Billy Lemos Remix for “Homemade Holiday,” Babygirl continues to distinguish themselves as a talented singer-songwriting duo. The lyrics that Babygirl creates speak to the various emotions that many people may experience during the holiday season. Babygirl’s airy and dreamy vocals and musicality add a distinct aspect of emotion to their already wistful lyrics. With much more music to come, keep an eye on Babygirl as they gear up for a big year ahead.
