Repeatedive Lets You Know Exactly What is In Their Heart

Repeatedive

It will continue to amaze me how the internet allows us to truly be a worldwide society. Especially in the search for new interesting music. Just sitting at my laptop I can cruise across the world listening to the sounds of different countries with each click. A recent YouTube rabbit hole led me to discover another addition to my shoegaze alt-rock playlist. Allow us to introduce you to Repeatedive.

The indie rock band hails from the subtropical island nation of Taipei, Taiwan. From their beginnings in May of 2016 the collaboration of Alan Yang (Guitar/Vocals), Larry Chen (Bass) Baron Jan (Drums) has been known as Repeatedive. The young band started out playing a mix of Nirvana covers and punk influenced originals at high school events and went through some trials, tribulations, and even a hiatus. The goal was always the same. Make fun music for the underdog, and anyone who has felt on the losing side of life.

Now Repeatedive is back with a moving piece in their new song “In My Heart, I Say Fuck This World.” I am pretty sure it translates exactly how you expect it would. The mellow guitar strumming mixes with a straight beat that puts the mind at ease. The vocals continue this theme even with the angst-ridden lyrics.

The slow build comes to an energetic climax around the 3 minute mark of the song. Repeatedive grabs your attention and gets your blood pumping. Those punk influences show us the way to a complete sonic experience that fills the void in a dreary day.

Keep up with the band on their FACEBOOK page.
